The MP9-21021K is a high-reliability, three-section metallized polypropylene (EC) capacitor designed specifically for AC harmonic filtering and DC-link stabilization in industrial variable frequency drives (VFDs). It features three independent 64 μF sections (total 192 μF equivalent), rated for continuous operation at 690 VAC (50/60 Hz) and peak DC voltage up to 1100 VDC. Housed in a robust rectangular aluminum case with M8 threaded terminals and integrated mounting flanges, it meets IEC 61071 and IEC 61881 standards. Optimized for use in ABB ACS880, ACS800, and similar high-power drive systems, the capacitor offers low ESR, high ripple current capability (>12 A RMS per section), self-healing properties, and flame-retardant construction (UL 94 V-0). Includes built-in discharge resistors (typ. 10 MΩ, <3 min discharge to <50 V). Operating temperature range: −40°C to +70°C (derated above +55°C).
